I have had the product nearly 2 years now and was initially really pleased. Although I had the pan-european maps when I bought the product, I had to pay an additional fee to activate the french map. This I did in July 2006 with some reluctance as I had assumed that since I bought the CDs, I could actually use them! I used the french option in August and found the maps hopelessly out of date. the item is good but has a few problems
1. it is not as fast as tom tom to pick up satellites
2. when it does pick them up it takes time to calculate route
3. the routing options are never the best and always requires some local knowledge if you are to get somewhrer on time.
4. it crashes all the time, especially when you are trying to make changes to a journey.
